HOPE

Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit

Do you remember picking a dandelion and blowing the seeds everywhere in the air? The dandelion would be carefully pulled out of the ground so that seeds wouldn’t be lost. Each seed represented a wish, a hope that something you wanted would happen.

Each flower produced hundreds of hope, blown everywhere. ( There are approximately 150-200 seeds per flower!)

The wind would take them high into the waiting sky.

Your eyes would watch each seed disappear, gracefully taking your hopes wherever the wind blew.

It was a glorious game of make believe hope.

Of course, the hope being carried away in the seeds didn’t happen, it was just a game. ( It just produced more dandelions!)

The True hope that we have in Jesus is not a game. His hope is real. His hope is sure.

Psalm 147:11 tells us, “ The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.”

God has given us a hope that is real, Jesus Christ.

Jesus became our hope.

1 Peter 1:3 tells us, “ Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

This is a hope we can trust. A true hope. A loving hope.

Kodiak Baptist Mission strives to always look for hope. Hope is our constant, our surety, our reality. Hope is what we do, believe. Jesus is our Hope , always making his hope available.

Trust Hope.

Trust Jesus.

Get Hope.

Get Jesus.
