Psalm 37:23-24

The road out of Kodiak takes you by Alders, salmon streams, wildlife habitat, and offers breathtaking views above the Alaskan tree line. Your eyes are carried to the snow capped mountains that gracefully guard the lush valleys below. On any particular day, you can watch eagles soar high as they eye the valley below, or perhaps a Kodiak bear will emerge from the Alders, majestically roaming through the marshy field. Ravens make their presence known with their deep croaking call as they sit and watch for any food that might come their way.

Movement high up the rocky mountain reveals a family of mountain goats comfortably meandering across the rocks and crevices, firmly placing each step.

Mountain goats walking on the edge in confidence and surety in areas that seem impossible to get to, let alone walk. Firm footsteps.

We know at Kodiak Baptist Mission that God makes our steps firm, whether we are on rocky ground or lush valleys of our everyday life. We know Who keeps us from falling and holds our hand as we share the Love of Jesus to those we serve. We know we can delight in Him daily. He is our firm footsteps.

Psalm 37:23-24

The Lord makes firm the steps of the One who delights in him; 24 though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.

We thank God daily that he makes our steps firm and keeps us from stumbling, as we delight in Him.

Keeps our steps firm.

Delight in Him.
